Rahzel Jr.

LDN met Rahzel Jr. at a Hip-Hop showcase (Courtesy of our mates at MTV UK: The Wrap Up & April Ricchuito), a few days later we were on the phone conversing about his career!

Little did we know… that said conversation would be the birth of what we now know as CHATTIN’ WITH LDN.

So thank you Rahzel Jr. we take our invisible hats off to you!

Here is a little information about Rahzel Jr.:

“Introducing the newest member of the elite Zulu Nation….

As the oldest son of the legendary beatboxer Rahzel from The Roots, Rahzel Jr. proves to be well-deserving of his name, but there’s no doubt he’s more than capable of shining on his own. It’s easy to see that the talent genes in this family haven’t skipped a beat; unless you catch Rahzel Jr rapping a cappella.Rahzel Jr’s music is hip hop for hip hop fans, by a hip hop fan who has grown up with the culture–and those who’ve shaped it–firsthand.By incorporating the elements of authentic hip hop culture, while simultaneously bringing a fresh sound that effortlessly appeals to both the old heads and proponents of new school sounds,Rahzel Jr.’s records will appease even the most critical of hip hop purists.Much like his golden era predecessors, Rahzel Jr. manages to thoughtfully address the struggles of his generation a relatable way, while offering a nod to the Afrocentric themes that appeared prominently during the golden era, giving way to today’s “god hop.”Dubbed “a young intellectual spitta” by Karlie Hustle (formerly of Hot 97), Rahzel Jr.’s flawless flow and clever wordplay makes listening to any verses he lays a captivating experience. The Source magazine has even called him “a young Nas,” while Sway has referred to him as “refreshing.”

He is currently working on several upcoming projects, including The RapFest (as seen on MTV Jams), and an upcoming release with the multi-platinum selling, Grammy winning producer Streetrunner, whose catalogue includes Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and more. His music has been featured on The Source, All Hip Hop, New York City’s Hot97.com, Heavy Hitter DJ Enuff’s ThatsEnuff.com, and more.  He recently appeared on “Sway in the Morning,” and his music is now in rotation on Shade 45.  ” – Courtesy of Rahzel Jr’s management.
