Day Trip to Chicago

The annoying alert of my 4:15 alarm kicked in as I woke up bewildered. You know that feeling when you need to hit snooze about 3 times before you stumble out of the bed zombified? Yes, that's the kind of morning i was having.

My 7:15 flight wasn't waiting for me... So, I better had get my skates on (in other words hurry up), showered, got a decent outfit together, booked the car service, got to the airport, blah, blah, blah, blah!

Anyway I arrived to Chicago safely, ran downtown, and had a little stroll at the beach before stuffing my guts with some food. In true (me) style I visited one of my favorite restaurants Lao Sze Chuan. (See what i ordered below).

I had to rush to the airport attempting to beat traffic leaving with a doggy bag... Which i devoured at the gate whilst waiting to board. Im sure i looked like a pig!

If you're ever in The-Chi let me know what you think of it?

Oh! Santorini You Beauty!

I left NYC on Saturday night, landed in London the next morning, ran to have breakfast with my Dad & sister, then rushed off to a surprise birthday party... 4-5 days later I was due to arrive in Santorini, Greece.

Here I stood at the airport nervous about the flight and even more so about all the  strong (family) personalities i'd be greeted with throughout the next 5 days. I thought "but we are still going to have an amazing time..."

Our villa was located in Vothonos which was remote, away from the hustle and bustle as well as far enough to be tranquil. As much as I enjoy rest and relaxation i also love home cooked food, which is why our villa was quintessential as it came with a kitchen :)

Nonetheless we enjoyed local foods, shopping, and getting lost (or shall I say "we explored unknown territories...")

I won't bore you with much more but here are some photographs (which include me), for the lovely views click here
